The jist is that I am not able to make the second monitor "Active"ĭo you have an HDMI to DVI converter? I ran duals at home on the same outputs. This happens for both onboard display and radeon 3470. So when I hit apply, the screen flickers but then goes back to duplicate screens and not dual extended screens. " checked but the for the first monitor, I cannot uncheck that since it is greyed out. At this point, both monitors have "Extend Windows. I right-click the monitor and select "Attached" which activates the monitor and then I choose "Extend Windows desktop onto this monitor". For both the instances, I am able to see 2 monitors when I right-click on desktop then go to properties and go to settings tab. The monitors display is duplicate and not extended. When I tried the onboard display, I removed the graphics card.
#ATI RADEON HD 3450 WINDOWS 10 DUAL MONITORS INSTALL#
I first tried to install using the graphics card by updating the drivers ( http:/ / / us/ gpudownload/ windows/ Pages/ radeonaiw_xp.aspx? type=2.4.1 &product=2.4.1.3.15 &lang=us &rev= &ostype=Windows%20XP%20-%20Professional/ Home)Īlso updated the drivers for the onboard display ( http:/ / / Detail_Desc.aspx? agr=Y &DwnldID=17538) I also have a ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics card and a DVI-A to VGA splitter cable.

This PC has VGA + DVI-D (Dual Link) as onboard display ports. I have been trying to get the a HP Compaq dx7500 Microtower with Windows XP Pro to run dual monitors. This is driving me crazy for past 2 days.
